Setting an Apollo to Display Metric (Manual Configuration of Counter)

  • POWER ON power to Apollo
  • Press the ALT + LEFT ARROW together.  This will take the operator to the ‘ADVANCED SELECTIONS’ menu
  • Use the RIGHT ARROW and toggle to ‘Configure System’ option, press ‘Enter’.
  • Press ‘Enter’ when display shows ‘ROAD TUBE LAYOUT’.  Allow the operator to choose the road tube layout’.
  • Use the RIGHT ARROW to select the desired Date Format, press ‘Enter’ when selected.
  • Use the RIGHT ARROW to toggle between US and Metric ‘Speed&Length’ format.  Press ‘Enter’ when selected.
  • Use the RIGHT ARROW to toggle between Yes or No on whether to have the APOLLO ‘Erase First File When Out of Memory.  Press ‘Enter’ when selected.
  • Use the RIGHT ARROW to select when you want the APOLLO to create new files (Manually or Daily).  Press ‘Enter’ when selected.
  • (IF APPLICABLE)  Use the RIGHT ARROW to select Total Number of Road Tube Inputs (2 or 4 pending physical number of road tube inputs on Apollo).  Press ‘Enter’ when selected.
  • Use the RIGHT ARROW to select the sensor miss (SnMis) storage mode (View only, View and Store, Disabled).  Press ‘Enter’ when selected.
  • Use the RIGHT ARROW to set or confirm the Maximum Axle Spacing (recommended default is 40’ US, 1220 cm Metric).  Change using the numeric keypad.  Press ‘Enter’ when selected.  The operator will now be taken back to the ‘Configure System’ menu under ADVANCED SELECTIONS, ready to be installed for a new data study.
