TrafMan Installation | Windows XP

TO ALL WINDOWS USERS:

Windows XP / 2000 / NT Users must configure com ports to avoid windows access conflicts.

TrafMan installation uses the Installshield® Windows installer. The typical setup file will use the windows wizard install format used in current windows programs alleviating the DOS command line installer. A few details to note are:

  • The install path still must be under 50 characters long. We suggest that you use the default path “C:\TRAFMAN”.
  • TrafMan still uses DOS emulation in Windows NT/2000/XP. This has little effect on program operation except for com port control.
  • TrafMan can be used over a network but must be run locally. The software cannot be installed on a server or share a database with simultaneous user access.
