My Unit is Counting Every Other Axle That Hits It, Why?

The Traffic Tally 2, Traffic Tally 4, & Traffic Tally 6W (TT-2, TT-4 & TT-6w) model counters are designed to divide by two automatically, so as not to get two counts for one vehicle. This will make a five axle vehicle show up as two and a half counts though.

You can request a modification to your unit prior to it being manufactured that would allow the unit to be set to record single axles only. However, you would then expect to see axles recorded for every strike of the road tube.

Optionally, the Traffic Tally 77 (TT-77) does have a toggle that would allow for the user to manually select whether the counter is to divide (or not to divide) by two axles.
