1. Connect the counter you wish to set up for daylight savings to your PC.
2. Open Trafman and highlight counter and press ENTER
3. Trafman should now find your counter. Select Link to Traffic Counter. If a menu pops up displaying the fact that the clocks are different just select Ignore The Difference in Time
4. Now you will be brought to the file retrieval screen press the ESCAPE key. You should now be at the counter main menu (see screen below):

6.  If you select Yes-User to the Daylight Savings Adjust option in the Configure System option, then another window will appear allowing you to specify the exact time and date for adjusting the daylight savings time.

You are asked the following questions:

Fall Back Date:

Enter the date the counter should SUBTRACT one hour from the current time.

Spring Forward Date:

Enter the date the counter should ADD one hour to the current time.

Time of Change:

Enter what time to make the change. The default is 2am and should be left there. Changing to 1am will cause problems because the counter often performs tasks at midnight and will experience two midnights at the fall back date.

NOTE:  If you select Yes-Trafman, Trafman will automatically adjust the time based on the federal calendar regulation dates and set the counter to automatically adjust the time accordingly.

If you select No, nothing will be done and the counter will “ignore” daylight savings.

7.  When you are done press ENTER until you reach the counter settings screen. Now you have set the counter for daylight savings time.
