All Diamond traffic counters use a protocol to communicate with PC software (Centurion).  This protocol is a proprietary format that is documented and available upon request to be used in order to integrate with other software packages or custom ITS or polling applications.

Because of all the programming options we recommend that you use Centurion software to communicate with Diamond units to program, monitor and download data.  However downloading data (the most common action) can be developed and done in third party or custom applications.  Many third party traffic database applications already download data from Diamond units.  Development to download data can be done with the open protocol documentation.  We recommend that you contact us to help you get started.
