Centurion Version History 1.20

Build #0001 03/26/04

Completely updated version with ability to program, monitor, and otherwise setup the following traffic counters:

  • Unicorn-Limited (V1.20 or higher).
  • Unicorn, Phoenix, TCC-540, & Pegasus (V2.39, v2.44, or V2.45).

New abilities include Starting/Stopping Collection, monitoring Sensors and Traffic, setting System Options, and misc. other counter programming function. Full support for Flash memory, TAM cards, and custom Bin Tables also included.

This updated version of Centurion also includes the following other changes and new features:

General:

  • Fixed problem handling DPI size larger than 96 pixles per inch (when screen set to “Large Font”).
  • Registry now saved automatically after any licensing changes.
  • Added a Print button to the Bin Table editor.
  • Moved all program option storage to a file in the main program directory.

Counter Communication:

  • Supports Unicorn-Limited Flash Files downloaded from a Datahog.
  • Added HEXFILES sub-directory for RAM/TAM code files.
  • Fixed problem handling Datahog links when Datahog is first powered on and also improved file handling for certain types of Unicorn-Limited files (which previously gave corrupted file messages).

Reports:

  • Changed the Start and End Time on all reports to show the actual data start and end time instead of the selected start and end time. In addition, the selected start and end time no longer changes when moving from one report type to a different report type.
  • Fixed problem with lane #’s > 9 on the Lane Setup block.
  • Fixed problem when printing a report with no data in it and also fixed problem when printing only a single lane.
  • Fixed error message “Invalid Argument to Time Encode” when generating Special/Column Speed Study with 24 Hour intervals.

Importing:

  • Added support for importing Trail Counter Files. Trail counter files also support automatic overlaying so that new data is simply added to old data.
  • Added new “Data Overlays” window with various options to the import system.
  • Better range checking on all time/date values.
  • Disabled “Could Not Find End Record” when file is from a Real-Time-Poll.
  • Fixed bug in Auto-Import function (file directory not being included in import line).
  • Fixed bug not updating Counter Serial Number field.

Exporting:

  • Added ability to export TMG Card 3, Card 4, and Card C. See Section 8.b of the User’s Guide for complete information on this new feature.
  • Added quick set of TMG values for a site by selecting the site and pressing .
  • Added ability to export Washington DOT Trips Format.
  • Added ability to export Peek PRN Format (see section 8.c for more information on this function).

Database:

  • Made sure when deleting a site that any open Site Data edit window is closed before deletion.
  • Added a “Reimport All…” button to the Site Setup Editor

Setup:

  • Deleted the “Reports” tab and renamed the “Editor” tab to “Counter”.  Also moved the new “Editor tab to be the second tab and moved some other values around.
  • Added the following new setup options in the Counter Tab:
    • Check Counter vs. Computer Time when First Link
    • Show Retrieve/Delete Files when First Link
    • Retrieve the Open File Options
    • Added the following new setup options to the Export Tab:
      • Write TMG Class as Card C instead of Card 4
      • Allow 15 Card C/4 Bins.

Build #0002 04/27/04

Minor update with the following changes:

  • Changed default block size of RAW.DB in the Master directory from 2k to 32k (increased DB max to 4GB).
  • Fixed problem adding ‘0’ to end of spacings when setting up UPP5 in Metric (does not affect Uni-Lim).
  • Changed the Bin Table Editor to just minimize instead of close when the Counter Link Window opens.
  • Added export type 10: CalTrans Export Format. This addes export window: Cal-Trans Data Conversion Utility.
  • Fixed proble with exports to Excel enabling filtering lanes and then not disabling it on future exports (this caused some lanes to be left out when switching from one or more lanes to all lanes).
  • Changed the report generator to require clicking the “Rebuild” button to apply changes to the report.
